This logo was developed for an educational supply store that offers educational materials for both public and homeschool teachers. The branding project started with a definition of the existing audience/clientele as well as researching sub markets that the client was not currently targeting. With that information we created an identity that tightly integrated the instant recognition of the iconic "pencil" to communicate the educational/school related theme. The "2" in the logo was made distinct from the rest of the name to ensure readability and graphic separation of a somewhat complex name. The ability to communicate the message of a company that is serious about education with a casual feel was accomplished with a very polished presentation. Stylistic elements of the logo were translated into the subsequent design of the client's web site.
